The U.S. Department of Agriculture has named Ventura County the most desirable place to live in the United States. Located between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara County, Ventura occupies 43 miles of beautiful Southern California coastline. It covers 1873 square miles and has a population of 844,000. The early Spanish settlers described it as the “land of everlasting summers”.

California Lutheran University is located in Thousand Oaks. There are also satellite campus’ for Cal State Northridge and University of California at Santa Barbara both in Ventura.
Ventura County is made up of many prosperous small towns and communities. What started out as mainly agricultural land and products has grown into a giant on the California economic scale.
